If you weren’t able to buy Apple’s latest iMac on release day on November 8, you have a chance to get this all-in-one computer at a discount. The company is selling it for $85 off on Amazon before the Black Friday rush begins. Apple’s refreshed computer has a list price of $1,299, but you can now get the silver version for just $1,214. Meanwhile, the blue and green versions will set you back $1,249. Not a big deal, but it’s always nice to get a new device at around $100 off.

The 2024 iMac model is powered by the company’s M4 chip, its latest silicon that enables the computer to run up to 1.7 times faster for daily tasks and up to 2.1 times faster than the M1-powered model for more demanding activities like gaming. It has 16GB of RAM, while its previous model had 8GB of RAM, and you can choose to upgrade it to either 24GB or 32GB. You have several options when it comes to storage.

You can get the base model with 256GB SSD or any of the upgraded models with 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB of storage. This is the base unit that’s currently on sale, which has 16GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, an 8-core CPU, and an 8-core GPU.

The computer has an aluminum unibody design with a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display and a 12MP Center Stage camera. You’ll also find two Thunderbolt USB-C ports on the base model, and you get the Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse with lock key as with the iMac.

I think my deep dislike of NVIDIA’s ACE-powered AI comes down to this: there’s simply nothing engaging about it. No joy, no warmth, no humanity. Every ACE AI character feels like a developer cutting corners in the worst way possible, as if you’re watching their contempt for the audience manifest in the form of a boring NPC. I’d much rather scroll through some on-screen text, at least I don’t have to interact with weird robot voices.
