The November update for Google Pixel devices running Android 15 is now rolling out. This batch doesn’t include exciting new features like the AI-powered theft protection in the October update, but it does have bug fixes and the latest security patches to make things better.
The new software includes fixes for known intermittent issues like Bluetooth range, camera tilt when zooming between cameras, and unexpected white dots or screen brightness flashing or flickering. It also has fixes for adaptive brightness not activating, the keyboard dismiss button not working properly, and the performance and stability of some UI transitions and animations.
Android 15 arrived for Pixel devices last month, following the debut of the Pixel 9 lineup in August. The annual software jump focuses on security and privacy, like an AI-powered theft detection lock and additional authentication requirements for removing the SIM and deactivating Find My Device.
Google says the November Pixel update is rolling out today and will continue in stages over the next week. You’ll see a notification when it’s ready for your device and carrier.
While the use of generative AI in games seems almost inevitable, as this medium has always toyed with new ways to make enemies and NPCs smarter and more realistic, watching several NVIDIA ACE demos back to back really made me feel sick to my stomach.
It wasn’t just slightly smarter enemy AI – ACE can create entire conversations out of thin air, simulate voices and try to give NPCs a sense of personality. It’s also doing this locally on your PC, powered by NVIDIA’s RTX GPUs. But while this might all sound great on paper, I hated nearly every second I saw the AI NPCs in action.
